What are your current goals and why?
My current goal is to become stronger, more confident, and happier. Confidence was something I used to lack, which took a toll on me. This resulted in me simply not being happy with myself and how I looked. Ever since I started this program, my confidence level rose, and it has made me a happier person. I’ve become a lot stronger than I ever was, both mentally and physically, and I know I will continue to become stronger each day. It’s important for me to accomplish these because I want to enjoy myself and become the best version of myself.
What keeps you motivated?
My goals keep me motivated. I know what I want to accomplish for myself, it’s simply just being consistent and trusting the program, along with believing in yourself. Seeing myself in the gym and how my body has changed has been a huge motivator. I’ve been happy with myself, and it always makes me think about the future and how far I will be then.
Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
It’s very important for me to live a healthy lifestyle because I want to live forever, right? I want to live my life to the fullest, get out of my comfort zone, and simply be happy with myself. I haven’t been this energized in a long time; I’m always doing something, and I get so much done throughout my day. This is because I’m looking at what I’m eating, how much I’m eating, getting my steps in, and going to the gym every week. I’ve been very productive ever since I started this program, I work harder and push myself in everything I do.
What is your most memorable experience in this program?
One huge thing for me is that in these past three months, I haven’t had any knee pain. I tore my ACL a couple of years back and I honestly thought that I’d never be the same. After my leg workouts, I’ve never been happier. Just the thought of being able to continue working out my legs with zero pain puts a smile on my face! I can walk for longer periods of time now without any pain and I love exploring nature so being able to do so is amazing.
BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments, what are you most proud of so far since starting the program?
A lot more strength in these past couple of months:
1. 388 on the leg press. I remember starting and I hardly could push one plate.
2. I remember hardly being able to squat 25 lbs. since my ACL tear, now I’m at 75... Still, a long way to go!
3. 110 deadlifts, something I could never imagine doing. Those are some accomplishments that I remember, but it’s not even about the weight to me. My accomplishments so far have been the change in my body, my energy levels, and being able to see the muscle that I thought I never had! I know I’m getting stronger; I see and feel it. One huge thing that’s stuck with me through this program is that I can do anything I put my mind to.
