What are your current goals and why?

Smart and consistent training while sustaining a healthy balance of nutrition, sleep and recovery. Being content with small gains each week with eyes set on a bigger long-term goal of competing at Masters Worlds 2025. I'm winning every day when I can step on the platform and do what I love!

What keeps you motivated?

I enjoy weightlifting and love to compete. In order to continue to do those things, I know I will need to take care of myself mentally and physically. It’s also my time to do something solely for me and I want to continue to stay active even beyond weightlifting. And I love to feel STRONG!

Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?

I want to feel and look my best not only for myself but for my family! I’m also hopeful that each day I’m setting a good example for my kids and maybe even some others who may be struggling with their health. Movement can take on so many different forms and I'm lucky that I have found something that keeps me coming back for more. I could say the same about food!

Most memorable experience

Placing 2nd in 2023 AOFinals as an 81. Changing focus to a leaner version of me (lost 2% BF in 5 weeks without losing any muscle mass) and placing 3rd at AO1 as a 76kg lifter. And having a pretty cool roommate and teammate at both events.

Bright spots in the program so far!

Coach Alexa encouraged me to find time to decompress whether it’s a walk or reading a few pages. I didn’t realize how important it was to my general health to add some calming habits into my mostly hectic and stressful days. But the most exciting result of doing this was that my kids are actively walking now too. Sometimes they walk with me and sometimes it’s on their own. I feel better!

I'm fueling my body properly and taking the right supplements that my body needs. But I'm also taking time to enjoy breaks and not feel guilty for indulging and I know how to jump right back on track again. I have learned a ton that I will be able to carry with me for a lifetime but I also know that I have gained a coach and friend that is there to help me when I need it.
