What are your current goals and why?
My current goal is to get leaner, stronger, and build up my endurance. Before I thought I could do it without the nutrition part (man was I wrong). One day I weighed myself and I was the heaviest I ever was. I was unhappy and depressed with myself since I had just recently had an epic weight loss a couple of months prior. I never had a good relationship with food and it was time I finally created a healthy relationship with it. I wanted to also
improve my gut health.
What keeps you motivated?
Honestly what keeps me going is my future goals, dreams of traveling, inspiring my family and having my own family and learning now rather than later the importance of being healthy.
Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
I want to live a healthy life and be an example for my family and other loved ones. I want to teach them that you can find a healthy balance with eating food and exercising.
What is your most memorable experience in this program?
So far it’s all my new PRs, anytime I hit a new PR I get emotional because I can see where I was a year ago and how much progress I have made physically and mentally. I would always make excuses and now I just push myself. Creating meals and eating foods I never thought I would before is also something amazing to me. Seeing the change in my body in three months has been amazing. My coach also hyping me up is also a plus!
BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments, what are you most proud of so far since starting the program?
The amount of weight I have lost since May! And wearing clothes I haven’t in over a year! I also started running again and will do a race in September with my gym. It’s been 6 years since I have done a race because I was embarrassed of how I looked like and thought I could never do that again.
