What are your current goals and why?
Currently my goal is to continue to grow strong and feel confident in my skin. When I first started the program, my goal was to feel more like myself and to lose the weight that I had put on after ACL surgery. Now it’s not about the number on the scale, but how I feel when I look at myself in the mirror and see all the muscle that I’ve put on.
What keeps you motivated?
I would say there are several things that keep me motivated. The results that I have gotten so far with the program keep me wanting more and to continue going. I also just overall feel great. As I am watching what I am eating and tracking my macros I am finding myself not having that upset stomach feeling as often anymore that I used to get often. Having a great support system with my husband, my coach, and my friends/family help to keep me on track.
Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
I’ve always had the mindset that the best investment that we can make is in ourselves. Reaching out to All-Tru was me making that extra investment for myself. I live a pretty active lifestyle, but sometimes my nutrition wasn’t always on, so this was a great away for me to have accountability and work on myself. As well as creating healthy boundaries to know that one night off or even a weekend off won’t take away from all the hard work that I have put in the rest of the days/weeks/months.
What is your most memorable experience in this program?
The compliments that I receive from others: you look great, have you lost weight, and you look strong are certainly confidence boosters.
BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments, what are you most proud of so far since starting the program?
• I have lost 20 pounds all without being on a cut. This was all about making small changes in what I was eating and continually tracking my macros. I can also visibly see the difference when I compare my photos from day 1 on the program to today.
• Countless PRs or tying PRs from before my surgery on multiple barbell items (Strict Press, Power Clean, Bench, Back Squat), handstand hold PRs, Murph, and constantly feeling great during workouts.
• Qualifying for the CrossFit Quarterfinals
• Wearing old dresses that I had in the closet from a couple of years ago and feeling amazing in them.
• Feeling strong, and loving what I see in the mirror.
